Edmonton police said Friday that an Alberta-wide warrant had been issued for a young man, believed to have been involved in the slaying of a woman in late April.
Police said Nikita Lee Healy, 26, was found dead in a suite located in the area of 110 Avenue and 84 Street on Wednesday, April 20, 2016.
An autopsy determined Healy died from a gunshot wound – her death is Edmonton’s 19th homicide of 2016.
Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section detectives said their investigation had connected a suspect to Healy’s death – and an Alberta-wide warrant was issued for Wacey Dillon Boudreau, 22, for the charge of first-degree murder, along with a number of firearm-related charges, and breach of release conditions.
Boudreau is described as:
- Aboriginal male
- Dark hair
- Brown eyes
- 175 cm (5’9”)
- 70 kg (155 lbs)
Has a piercing in his left ear, and a broken or missing front tooth.
Police warn Boudreau should not be approached – anyone who sees him is advised to call police immediately.
