While police investigate the death of a man, who was found dead in a parking lot in southeast Edmonton early Sunday morning, the Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy Tuesday afternoon.

The Homicide Unit began investigating the case after the body of a man was found dead, in the parking lot of a strip mall in the area of 34 Avenue and 92 Street at about 3 a.m. Sunday morning.

On Sunday, investigators spent much of the day combing the area for evidence, including reviewing surveillance footage from the several security cameras in the area.

So far, police have not released the cause of death or identity of the deceased.

The autopsy has been scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday.
