The man charged in connection to the armed robbery of armoured guards in June on the University of Alberta campus has had his case put over.

On Friday, a lawyer appeared in court on Travis Baumgartner’s behalf.

In court, a no-contact stipulation for Baumgartner was changed. Previously, he was not allowed to contact either of his parents.

Now, he is allowed to contact his mother.

The Crown is also going ahead with a direct indictment for this case – which means there will be no preliminary hearing, and the case will go straight to trail.

Baumgartner is facing three charges of first degree murder, and one charge of attempted murder, after the bloody shooting at HUB Mall from June 15.

The case will go before the courts again on October 5.
