Police in central Alberta said an investigation was underway after a campaign bus with the leader of the Progressive Conservative Party on board was involved in a collision.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP said at about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to a collision between PC Leader Jim Prentice’s campaign bus and an SUV on a Range Road and Township Road in Clearwater County near Rocky Mountain House.

The driver and only person inside the car suffered minor injuries, and was taken to hospital by a co-worker, the nine people on the bus, including Prentice, were not hurt.

Investigators said early indications stated the SUV rear-ended the bus.
