Edmonton police said Tuesday that charges had been laid in connection to the killing of a man whose body was found in late March.

Back on Saturday, March 26, at about 9 a.m., police were called to a hotel suite in the area of 34 Street and 118 Avenue, after a deceased male was reportedly found.

When police arrived, they found the body of Jeremy Randall Nattress, 36, and the Medical Examiner later confirmed he died as a result of stab wounds.

Police said Zafar Nigmatov, 25, is facing a charge of second degree murder and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

EPS detectives are not seeking additional suspects.
