A little girl was killed in a highway crash along Highway 2 near Peace River that also sent four others to hospital Friday night.
RCMP said at about 6 p.m. the driver of a pickup travelling west on Township Road 810 just south of the village of Nampa, missed a stop sign at Highway 2 and collided with a semi-truck – the little girl was ejected from the pickup.
A 34-year-old woman and three other young girls, all under the age of seven, were taken to hospital with multiple injuries.
The driver of the semi-truck was unharmed.
According to officials the area was foggy at the time of the crash.
RCMP continue to investigate.
Nampa is located about 30 kilometres south of Peace River.
