A Canadian company is looking for two adventurers to document their travels across the Trans Canada Trail over the summer.

Woods Canada said they were looking for two people who have camping/outdoor experience as well as social media savvy and a talent for content creation.

“They are going to need to hike and bike and paddle and climb and portage and swim. They will be doing all kinds of things across this huge Trans Canada Trail,” James Prescott, the assistant vice president for product development at Woods, said.

“Generally we are just looking for people who are looking forward to an adventure of a lifetime.”

The five-month journey is expected to start on May 13 and each explorer will be paid $20,000 for the five months and will be equipped with Woods gear and apparel. The company says it will also provide $300 each week for food and miscellaneous expenses.

Prescott said the company would provide logistical assistance and that the explorers would be expected to visit eight sections of the trail.

“We’re holding this because we are really passionate about the outdoor lifestyle and we are hoping to find a couple of Canadians that share that same passion.”

An outdoor enthusiast, Carmen Cunningham said the offer sounded like a great opportunity.

“I think it would be really exciting to live outside for five months and have all that paid for it’s an adventure in itself.”

Prescott said the deadline to apply was April 17.
