RCMP said an investigation by police and the Transportation Safety Board (TSB) was underway after a crop dusting plane crashed Wednesday night near La Crete, Alberta.
Police said on Wednesday, August 9 at about 9:30 p.m., Fort Vermilion RCMP were called to a reported plane crash north of the airport.
A crop dusting plane was found, with extensive damage, in a field.
The pilot, and only person inside, was pronounced dead on the scene. He has only been identified as a 43-year-old male from La Crete, his name has not been released.
RCMP are investigating, as are officials from the TSB.
