CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

October 20, 2014 to November 3, 2014


1. CONTEST SPONSORS/CONTEST PERIOD: Stars Of The CFR Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Bell Media Inc. and Edmonton Northlands Inc.. The Contest starts at 12:00 Noon Mountain Time (“MT”) on October 20, 2014 and closes on November 3, 2014 at 12:00 Noon (the “Contest Period”). There is one (1) Grand Prize (the "Grand Prize") and four (4) qualifier prizes (the “Qualifier Prizes”) to be won. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. Limit of one (1) Qualifier Prize per person.


2. ELIGIBILITY: To enter and to be eligible to win, entrant must be a legal resident of Alberta, Canada residing north of Red Deer City Limits, be Twenty one (21) years or older and be legally able to travel to the United States of America. Entrant must possess a valid passport at time of travel and sign and agree to all terms and conditions within the Northlands Declaration and Release of Liability form as well as the Bellmedia Prizing & Personal Release forms . Employees and their parents, siblings and children, and persons domiciled with an employee of any of the Contest Sponsors, their respective agents, parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, prize sponsors, and promotional and advertising agencies and administrators, are ineligible to enter. A winner of a previous Bell Media Inc. contest within the three (3) months preceding the start of this Contest (including persons designated by such winners to take ownership of prizes) and persons domiciled with a winner are not eligible to enter.


3. HOW TO ENTER: Simply visit the website located at www.ctvedmonton.ca during the Contest Period, click on the Contest page, view the CFR Star of the Day and answer the trivia question posted daily and complete and submit your entry by following the instructions found on the Contest page (each an “Online Entry” and collectively “Online Entries”). Online Entries must include your name, address, age, ten digit day and evening telephone numbers e-mail address and the correct answer to the trivia question.


4. QUALIFER PRIZES: There are four (4 ) Qualifier Prizes, each consisting of: (i) two (2) tickets for the performance of the Canadian Finals Rodeo on Thursday November 6th, 2014 at 7 p.m.(ii) and two (2) tickets for the performance of the Canadian Finals Rodeo at 2 p.m. Sunday , November 9th, 2014 at Rexall Place, 118th Ave and Wayne Gretzky Drive.


5. GRAND PRIZE: There is one (1) Grand Prize consisting of a trip for two (2) to Las Vegas, Nevada in the United States of America. Trip includes: round trip economy air fare for two (2) from a major Canadian airport closest to the Prize winner's place of residence in Canada (hereinafter referred to as the "Departure Point"); three (3) night’s accommodation only (based on one (1) room, double occupancy, based on availability, no guarantee of property chosen) as chosen by the Contest Sponsors at their sole discretion; and Six Hundred Dollars Canadian ($600) CD in pre-paid Visa cards. The Prize winner and his/her travelling companion are solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein, including, without limitation, as applicable, taxes, fuel/currency surcharges, meals and beverages, room service, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, insurance, any required travel documentation, all personal expenses of any kind or nature, and any overnight layover. Departure dates and accommodation are subject to availability and change without notice or compensation. The Prize winner and his/her travelling companion are also solely responsible for all costs incurred to and from the Departure Point as the Prize originates and terminates there. It is the sole responsibility of the Prize winner and his/her travelling companion to obtain all necessary travel documentation including passports and visas, and to comply with any customs and immigration requirements, as applicable. The Prize winner and his/her travelling companion must be able to travel at the times and dates as determined by the Contest Sponsors, in their sole discretion and authority, failing which the Prize will be forfeited. It is recommended that the Prize winner and his/her travelling companion obtain sufficient personal insurance prior to departure. Travel Dates will be determined by the Contest Sponsors at their sole discretion in order to participate in the Prize Approximate retail value of the Prize is three thousand, nine hundred dollars ($3,900)CAD based on an Edmonton departure. No change in travel arrangements can be made by the Prize winner once his/her booking has been confirmed. The Prize may not be used towards any type of frequent flyer mileage, or other reward point accumulation program. Before being able to participate in the Prize, the travelling companion, Must be 21, will be required to sign and return within the time stipulated by the Contest Sponsors, a full release and indemnity form stating that, among other things, he/she has read and understood these Rules, grants all consents required, agrees to be available and to participate in publicity and/or promotions related to the Contest and/or the Contest Sponsors and/or similar matters, authorizes the Contest Sponsors to broadcast, publish, disseminate and otherwise use his/her name, city/town/village and province/territory of residence, photograph, likeness, sobriquet and voice, in connection with any promotion and/or publicity, and/or for general news, entertainment and/or information purposes at no additional compensation to the travelling companion, beyond his/her participation in the Prize, accepts the Prize as offered and releases the Contest Sponsors from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the travelling companion’s participation in this Contest and receipt and use of the Prize. Prize must be redeemed by December 19, 2014. Prizes must be accepted as awarded. The Prizes may not be sold, transferred and are not convertible to cash. Contest Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a Prize in whole or in part in the event that all or any component of the Prize is unavailable. Prize winners are solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein.

7. SELECTION OF QUALIFIERS/PRIZE WINNERS: On November 4, 2013 at 3 p.m. MT a random draw will take place at in Bell Media Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta from among all eligible Online Entries received during the Contest Period. The first four (4 ) Online Entries drawn will each be deemed a Qualifier Prize winner and a potential qualifier eligible to compete in the Grand Prize Draw (described below) (the (“Online Qualifiers”).


CTV Edmonton, acting reasonably, will attempt to contact each potential Qualifier by either: by email or telephone within one (1) business day from the draw. In the event a Qualifier cannot be contacted within 1 business day or does not respond within one (1) business day according to the instructions in the notification, he or she will be disqualified and an alternate potential qualifier will be drawn from among the remaining eligible entries.


Proof of identification must be provided upon request. In order to be declared a Qualifier Prize winner, each Qualifier must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited mathematical skill testing question administered by a representative of CTV Edmonton. Before being awarded a Qualifier Prize and being declared a confirmed Qualifier, each potential Qualifier will be required to sign and return within the time stipulated by the Contest Sponsors, a full release and indemnity form stating that, among other things that: (i) he/she has read and understood these Rules; (ii) agrees to release the Contest Sponsors from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses arising from any liability in connection with this Contest and/or his/her participation therein (including the Grand Prize Draw); (iii) accepts the Qualifier Prize as offered and releases the Contest Sponsors from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the potential Qualifier’s participation in this Contest and receipt and use of the Qualifier Prize; and (iv) agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of his/her name, address, voice, statements about the Contest and/or photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Contest Sponsors in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet. If a potential Qualifier fails to return the properly executed declaration and release within the specified time and/or cannot be declared a Qualifier in accordance with these Rules for any reason then he/she will be disqualified (and will forfeit all rights to be a Qualifier) and the Contest Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to select an alternate Qualifier (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new potential Qualifier).


8. The Grand Prize Draw: On Sunday November 9, 2014, each confirmed Qualifier will be required to present himself/herself at Rexall Place, 118th Ave and Wayne Gretzky Drive, by12:15 p.m. and register with a Northlands representative. In the event a confirmed Qualifier does not register by this time, such Qualifier will forfeit his/her chance to win the Grand Prize and the Contest Sponsors shall have no further obligations to such Qualifier. At approximately 3 p.m.MT, each Qualifier that successfully registered (each a “Finalist”) will be seated in the Penalty Box. A random draw will take place. Four (4 cards) will be placed in a bucket, 3 (three) cards will contain the image of a rodeo animal (a bull) , one (1) card will contain the image of a human rodeo performer (a cowboy) . The Finalist who draws the cowboy card will win the Grand Prize. A representative of Northlands will select and announce the Grand Prize winner. The odds of a Qualifier winning the Grand Prize will depend on the number of Finalists, but in any event shall be no worse than one in four (4).


GENERAL CONDITIONS:


9. By entering this Contest the entrants and participants automatically agree to accept and abide by these Rules. All decisions of the Contest Sponsors with respect to any aspect of this Contest, including without limitation the eligibility of entries, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this Contest.


10. All entries become property of Contest Sponsors who assume no responsibility for garbled, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected Tweets, mail, voice messages, e-mail or any computer errors or malfunctions. No correspondence will be entered into except with entrants requesting Rules by mail or requesting the names of the Prize winners (for which a self-addressed, postage paid envelope must be included). Contest Sponsors do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials or data that have been tampered with or altered are void. If for any reason, in the opinion of the Contest Sponsors, in their sole discretion, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond their control, Contest Sponsors reserve their right to cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend or suspend the Contest, and select a winner from previously received eligible entries. Contest Sponsors reserve their right to modify the Rules without materially affecting the terms and conditions hereof. The Contest Sponsors reserve their right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of the Rules or otherwise in a disruptive manner. Any attempts to deliberately damage the Contest web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made the Contest Sponsors reserve their right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent of the law. Contest Sponsors shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest including any damage to an entrant’s computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as a result of their participation in this Contest or from downloading any material from the Contest web site, where applicable.


11. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. By entering this Contest each entrant consents to the collection, use and distribution of his or her personal information (information that identifies an entrant as an individual, such as home telephone number, age and home address) by the Contest Sponsors for the purposes of implementing, administering and fulfilling this Contest. Contest Sponsors will not sell or transmit this information to third parties except for the purposes of administering this Contest. By entering the Contest, entrants consent to the manner of collection, use and disclosure of personal information as set out in Bell Media Inc.'s privacy policy, which is available at bellmedia.ca/about/Media_Privacy.page. Any inquiry concerning the personal information held by the Contest Sponsors should be addressed to Bell Media Inc. at 18520 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton, Alberta, T5S 1A8.


12. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest related materials, including but not limited to the Contest entry form, or point of sale, television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of the Rules shall prevail, govern and control.


13. All intellectual property, including but not limited to trade-marks, trade-names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source codes, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by the Contest Sponsors and/or their affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
