Edmonton police said Tuesday that the death of a man, whose body was found on the city’s west end Sunday, was the city’s most recent homicide.

On Sunday, April 10, at about 8:30 a.m. officers were called to the area of Stony Plain Road and Winterburn Road, after a man’s body was found near the 215 Street traffic ramp.

On Monday, the Medical Examiner carried out an autopsy – on Tuesday, police said the Edmonton Medical Examiner had confirmed Brad Macdonald, 37, of Nova Scotia died as a result of blunt force trauma.

His death has been deemed a homicide – the city’s 13th of the year.
