Scattered showers and thunderstorms (mostly non-severe) will develop in parts of W and NW Alberta this afternoon.
Those showers and TStorms will move east through the day and there's a risk of seeing some of that action in or near the Edmonton area late afternoon/early evening.
The most likely timeframe is 5-9pm.
That's not to say it'll storm for 4 straight hours.  But, in that window...we might see some showers or thunderstorms in the region.

We may also see some smoke blow in from BC.  We'll wait to see how things shape up in western Alberta this morning.
The smoke forecast maps are indicating a thick plume of smoke will move into western AB this morning and then into the Edmonton area this afternoon.
If you have respiratory problems, keep and close eye on the situation and be prepared to cut short any outdoor activities you have planned for this afternoon.
I'll send out an update on that risk later this morning.

Temperatures climb to about 23 in Edmonton today.
Sunny and a high near 24 Thursday.
25 Friday with a good chance of showers or thunderstorms Friday evening/night.
Cooling to highs near 20 Saturday/Sunday.
