Morinville RCMP are investigating after an Edmonton man was found dead in a ditch earlier in the week.
RCMP said officers were called to reports that a deceased person had been found in a ditch on a rural Sturgeon County road Tuesday, October 17.
On Thursday, investigators confirmed the identity of the deceased: Kevin Dean Damien Yellowbird, 27, of Edmonton. RCMP said Yellowbird also had ties to the Ma-Me-O Beach area as well.
Yellowbird’s death is being treated as suspicious, and the Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Section has been called in to help with the investigation.
