Edmonton police are looking for a person described as a serial robbery suspect they believe is responsible for a "criminal storm" of 15 robberies.

Police say the male suspect targets gas stations and convenience stores mostly in south Edmonton. In several of the robberies, reports say the suspect threatened to stab staff with a knife. He is also reported to have physically forced employees to open their cash registers.

All the robberies, except for one, occurred on Edmonton's south side between November 6 and December 14.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'10" to 6'2" and between 20 and 30 years of age.

In all instances, it is believed the suspect fled the scene on foot before getting into a nearby vehicle. There is no description of the vehicle.

Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating the suspect. Anybody with information is asked to contact Edmonton police at 780-423-4567, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or with an online tip submission.
