Community members in Edson are hoping their fundraising efforts will provide police with the information they need to find Emily Stauffer's killer.

Organizers have with the "Lets Take Back the Town" fundraiser have more than doubled their goal of raising $10,000.

Carly Lapoint organized the fundraiser and started collected money on Oct. 3 and has already raised about $22,000.

Lapointe says she will continue to raise money in an effort to bring Stauffer's killer to justice.

The 14-year-old was killed in broad daylight on an Edson walking path just over two weeks ago.
