Edmonton police said Tuesday that an investigation was underway, following the death of a man at the end of June.

Police said on Tuesday, June 30, officers were called to the area of 95 Street and 101 Avenue at about 9 p.m., over reports of an injured male.

When they arrived, officers found Lawrence Francis Mountain, 51. It’s believed he was assaulted.

He was treated at the scene, and then transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, July 2.

The EPS Homicide Section is investigating the death, and asking anyone who had recent contact with the deceased, or who has any more information on the incident, to call the Edmonton Police Service non-emergency line at 780-423-4567 or #377 on a mobile phone.
