Edmonton police said a man in his 30s was in custody after he was seen driving a stolen car erratically in the city’s southeast, and officers found drugs inside.

Police said officers with Southeast Division responded to a Curb the Danger report of a suspected erratic driver in the area of 68 Avenue and 75 Street on Wednesday, December 7, just before 4 p.m.

Officers quickly found a Dodge Ram, and determined the truck and the licence plate had been reported stolen. The driver continued on to 41 Avenue and pulled into a farm yard where officers stopped the vehicle.

Police seized fentanyl, methamphetamine, hashish, and marijuana, worth about $15,000, in addition to $1,000 CDN from the vehicle.

Now, Nathan Harasym, 39, is facing the following charges: impaired driving (drugs), disqualified driving, four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property, possession contrary to order and warrant of apprehension and suspension.
