Edmonton police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a suspect believed to have been involved in a fatal shooting over the weekend.

On Saturday, it’s believed an altercation between two men escalated, and one of the men shot the other before fleeing on foot.

The man who was shot, who succumbed to his injuries, was later identified as Michael Alan Hill, 38.

Now, investigators are asking for the public’s help in finding David Charles Sandaker, 24, who is wanted on warrants for second degree murder, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and two counts of breach of recognizance.

Sandaker is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • About 175 cm (5’9”) tall
  • 72 kg (160 lbs)
  • Thin to average build
  • Hazel eyes
  • Light brown hair that may have been cut short

Police said Sandaker was last seen in north Edmonton – EPS warned he should not be approached, and is considered armed and dangerous.
