RCMP are investigating after a fiery crash near Leduc claimed the life of one woman on Friday evening.

According to police, shortly after 7 p.m. officers responded to the scene of a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 623 and Range Road 233, just east of the community.

RCMP said passers-by pulled a 35-year-old woman from her burning car and administered CPR until EMS arrived – she was later pronounced dead on scene.

Three people inside a full-size pickup truck, a 43-year-old man, 42-year-old woman and 7-year-old girl, were all transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No other details have been released.

The investigation continues.
