Some of the biggest names in Canadian music are in Edmonton for the Fire Aid concert at Commonwealth Stadium on Wednesday, June 29 to help Fort McMurray evacuees.

Fire Aid released the set list Tuesday morning. Doors will open at 4 p.m., with Dustin Bentall getting the concert started at 4:45 p.m. Corb Lund will take the stage at 8 p.m., Blue Rodeo will be on at 9:05 p.m., and Nickelback will close out the event at 10:05 p.m.

“The great majority of artists reached out to us once the word got out that there was an event happening,” VP of Live Nation Canada Harvey Cohen said. “People literally started lining up asking to be involved.”

Proceeds from the concert will go directly to United Way for the rebuild in Fort McMurray.

Tickets to the concert are still available, and organizers said that they are hoping to sell another 5,000 tickets tomorrow.

The Fire Aid concert will also be livestreamed to a football field in Fort McMurray where people will be able to watch the show.
