Edmontonians were met with a wall of fog when they headed out for their morning commute on Thursday. The thick fog blanketed most areas of the city, and prompted Environment Canada to issue a fog advisory for Edmonton, St. Albert, and Sherwood Park. Visibility on major thoroughfares such as the Whitemud and the Anthony Henday  is reduced significantly.

Fog advisories have also been issued for Fort Saskatchewan, Vegreville, Redwater, Smoky Lake, Leduc, Camrose, Tofield, Slave Lake, Spruce Grove, Morinville, Mayerthorpe, Evansburg, Westlock, Barrhead and Athabasca.
