RCMP and ALERT officials west of Edmonton have arrested and charged four more people in connection to a drug bust that took place in Hinton several weeks ago.

ALERT said in early April that officers executed search warrants in two Hinton homes in late March – as part of an effort to target street-level drug trafficking in the community.

A total of 33 charges ranging from trafficking cocaine, drug possession, possession of property obtained by crime and obstructing a peace offier were laid against seven people at first: George Meunier, 65, Lance Kreye, 28, Damien Wollenberg, 27, Allanah Leblue, 19, Connor Pruden, 23, Jonathan Evans, 21, and Amber Freehill, 22.

On Monday, police said four more people had been arrested and were facing a dozen charges.

Now, Jean-Paul Guy Wabason, 42, Colby Dow Beaulieu, 18, Zane Graydon Gomien, 22 and Kristen Jaimee-Lee Blakley, 20, were facing charges ranging from trafficking cocaine and cannabis marijuana to possession of property obtained by crime.

The investigation is ongoing in the Town of Hinton and surrounding communities – anyone with information is asked to call Hinton RCMP at 780-865-2455 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
