Homicide detectives have been investigating a shooting incident at a home in Edmonton’s northwest.

Officers responded to the home at 133 Street and 155 Avenue around 5 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the complainant went to a neighbor for help following the incident.

They also said the suspect had fled the area and no one else in the home was injured.

The 30-year-old man who had been shot was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Officials said they believe the victim and suspect knew each other and it was not a random act.
