If you’re one of the many people who were eagerly anticipating this year’s guest announcements for the Edmonton Expo, you’ve probably spent some time idly thinking about who might show up, never daring to dream big and give any thought to the notion that one of the most recognizable figures in pop culture would show up. Carrie Fisher, the queen of sci-fi, is coming to the 5th annual Edmonton Expo. She's most recognized for portraying Princess Leia in the Star Wars films along with her roles in classic films like When Harry Met Sally, Shampoo, and The Blues Brothers. She's also an acclaimed playwright, novelist, screenwriter, and Emmy Award Nominee. She’ll be doing a spotlight panel, and fans can meet her at photo ops and autograph sessions.
They’ve also announced the attendance of: Brian Herring, the puppeteer behind the lovable “BB-8”, Todd Haberkorn and Vic Mignoga, from the fan-made Star Trek: Continues, voice actors Christopher Sabat and Sean Schemmel, who you’ll recognize from Dragonball Z, and many more!
