Northern Alberta RCMP have found the owner of a small female dog, who was discovered injured near Clairmont on Sunday evening.
The Grande Prairie RCMP Rural detachment said they got the call from a Good Samaritan, who had been looking after the dog after she was struck by a vehicle near the Clairmont car wash Sunday.
Mounties launched a search for the dog's original home and turned to the media for help. They say the dog was reunited with its owner Monday evening.
The little dog – possibly Shih Tzu - was checked by a veterinarian, who said she only suffered minor injuries.
