Investigators tracked the threat to a residence in Sherwood Park, where a male was arrested without incident at about 11:30 a.m.

On Wednesday, police said John Derek Quest, 19, had been charged with uttering threats.

Officials at MacEwan University confirmed to CTV News that Quest is a student at the school, and spokesperson David Beharry released the following statement in response to the news.

The matter of his conduct is being reviewed in accordance with university student conduct policy which operates separately from legal proceedings external to the University.
