Edmonton police have laid charges against a man in his 20s, in connection to a homicide that left one man dead late last week.

Just before 1:30 a.m. Friday, officers and paramedics were called to a home located near 57 Avenue and 172 Street after a reported fight.

One injured man was found, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

An autopsy was completed Monday, and the Medical Examiner confirmed Harvey Rob Frenchman, 20, died of a stab wound.

On Tuesday, police said Harold Donald Papin, 23, had been charged with second degree murder, possession of an offensive weapon and breach of recognizance.
