Edmonton police said Wednesday that an autopsy had been carried out on the man who was found dead over the weekend, and the deceased had been identified.

On Sunday, March 22, officers were called to a home in the area of 81 Avenue and 178 Street, at about 8:23 a.m. on reports of a deceased male.

Police and paramedics arrived on the scene a short time later, and the man was pronounced dead.

On Tuesday, March 24, the Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy, and determined the man’s death was a homicide.

The individual has been identified as Casey Darrell Crier, 29.

The cause of death is not being released.

Homicide detectives are still investigating.
