One was in hospital Monday, after a shooting in Edmonton’s northeast – and police are investigating.

Police were scene, in the area of 66 Street and 133 Avenue, on Monday afternoon – officers were called in over a weapons complaint at about 3 p.m.

Officers arrived to find a man who had been shot.

He was treated on the scene, and then taken to hospital by paramedics. He remains in hospital with serious injuries, EPS said.

A witness told CTV News they saw a man covered in blood, with injuries to his legs – and a vehicle was heard speeding away.

Police said there are no suspects in custody, but the incident is believed to be isolated.
