Officials investigating an incident involving police have confirmed the man who suffered serious injuries in an altercation had died.
ASIRT said the 39-year-old man died in hospital Wednesday.
He was injured in an incident that unfolded Thursday, October 24, after officers came upon a fight between a man and a woman in the area of 106A Avenue and 96 Street, just after 11 p.m.
Officials said officers tried to detain the man, and a Taser was used.
The man was seriously injured in the incident, and rushed to hospital.
ASIRT is investigating how the man was injured – and said an autopsy is being scheduled.
