Edmonton Police (EPS) are investigating after a man was shot in High Park.
Officers responded to reports of an injured man at 108 Avenue and 149 Street around 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
“When they arrived on scene they found a male in his 20s suffering a single gunshot wound to his right leg,” Acting Insp. Warren Driechel explained.
“At this time he is in serious condition but we don’t consider it to be life-threatening.”
Investigators have been searching the scene and were also able to locate possible video of the incident from a nearby business.
“We are still trying to go through that video we don’t know if that was actually captured on there or if that is where the shooting occurred.”
According to the EPS Neighbourhood Crime Map there have been four other assaults in the area over the last 30 days.
