RCMP have accused an Edmonton woman in connection to an alleged terrorism hoax.
Police said officers first responded April 17 to an e-mail sent to the Canadian Forces in Toronto, saying an Edmonton man was planning to commit an act of terrorism in the city.
After the RCMP Integrated National Security Enforcement Team (INSET) investigated the matter they found the claim was a hoax.
As a result, police have charged Hanna Bedhiafi, 23, with committing a hoax regarding terrorist activity.
The accused is expected to appear in court May 9.
