Homicide detectives are investigating a suspicious death in northwest Edmonton.
Police say they responded to 95 Street, just after 3:30 a.m., and found a deceased man lying on the road between 117 and 118 Avenues.
Investigators said the deceased appeared to be in his 20s.
The detectives shut down a section of 95 Street, between 115 and 118 Avenues for several hours.
EPS officers are asking for help from the public in their investigation.
“We’re looking for assistance from the public, anybody that may have seen or heard anything, that either resides nearby or was driving or walking through that area,” EPS Spokesperson Scott Pattison said, adding that anyone with information should contact police.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday, at 9 a.m.
