Edmonton police said more than a dozen people had been arrested over a two-night operation by the EPS Vice Section.

Officers with the Vice Section carried out an operation over two nights, on July 16 and 17, 2014, conducted an undercover operation in areas where police had received complaints of people soliciting sex.

On the first day, nine charges of communicating in public were charged, along with two charges of breach of probation, two drug-related charges and executed one immigration warrant. In addition, one of the accused was on a day pass from Alberta Hospital, and was returned to the facility, and a total of six vehicles were seized.

On the second day, six communicating in public charges were laid, and another six vehicles were seized.
