Officials behind the Interstellar Rodeo announced the programming planned for Friday night had been cancelled, and the headliner was slated to perform a make-up show the next week.

Interstellar Rodeo producers Six Shooter Records decided to cancel the first night of the festival, due to safety concerns stemming from extreme weather.

As a result, Corb Lund and the Hurtin’ Albertans – who were supposed to perform Friday – will perform on Monday instead; tickets for Friday will be honoured on Monday.

Scheduling for Saturday and Sunday will take place as scheduled.

Interstellar Rodeo takes place in the Heritage Amphitheatre in Hawrelak Park.
