RCMP said one man had died after a serious collision on a highway near Hythe, Alberta early Tuesday morning.
Police said on Tuesday, at about 1:15 a.m., Beaverlodge RCMP and emergency crews were called to the two-vehicle collision, involving a car and a semi-truck.
When officers arrived, they said the driver of the car, and the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was identified as a 26-year-old man from Valleyview.
Police said the car was headed eastbound on Highway 43, when it crossed the centre line and hit the westbound semi-truck.
RCMP said the identity of the deceased is not being released.
