A 53-year-old motorcyclist is dead following a collision Tuesday morning between his motorcycle and an SUV.
Leduc RCMP received a call just before 8:00 a.m. Tuesday and found the man deceased at the scene.
The driver suffered unknown injuries and was taken to hospital.
The crash occurred on Highway 19 around 3 kilometers west of the QEII.
The highway was closed, with traffic re-routed while investigators determined the cause of the crash for several hours Tuesday morning, the roadway was opened again just before noon.
The name of the deceased man has not been released.
