Investigators with ALERT in central Alberta said weapons and drugs were seized from a Red Deer home last week, and three people are facing dozens of charges.

Officers said members of ALERT and Red Deer RCMP executed a search warrant in a home in the Grandview neighbourhood on September 25 – after the home had been the scene of recent drug activity.

Three people were arrested, the search was carried out before dawn, ALERT said, in an effort to minimize any risks to public safety.

Investigators seized crack cocaine, marijuana, and evidence of drug trafficking – along with a pistol-grip shotgun.

Now, Paul Edmund Fisch, 47, and Sharon Elizabeth Smith, 37, are facing a combined total of 23 drug and weapons-related charges.

The third individual arrested, Ryan William Litwyn, 27, was wanted on eight warrants out of Red Deer, he’s also facing five other charges.
