Edmonton police are investigating a three vehicle collision that left one person dead late Wednesday morning.

Police said at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, three vehicles collided in the area of 82 Street and 122 Avenue.

EPS said details are preliminary, but it’s believed six people were involved in the crash. Three of those were taken to hospital by paramedics with unknown injuries.

One of the injured, identified as a 64-year-old woman, was pronounced dead in hospital.

Officers with the Major Collision Investigation Section have taken over the investigation, it’s not clear what caused the crash.
