Two men are facing attempted murder charges after an alleged altercation near Lac La Biche.

RCMP said they were called out early Friday morning to a complaint of a man being shot in a rural location west of Lac La Biche.

Police said they believe an altercation happened between the victim and two other men, which led to the shooting.

The victim was taken to the Lac La Biche Health Centre and then transported to an Edmonton-area hospital. His injuries are not considered life threatening.

RCMP said the victim and suspects were known to each other and there was no danger to the public.

William Conrad Ingram, 24, and Markien Kunetsov, 20, are facing numerous charges including attempted murder.

They have been remanded into custody and will appear in Lac La Biche provincial court on Feb. 2. 

Lac La Biche is located about 220 kilometres northeast of Edmonton.
