RCMP are investigating, after a pedestrian was struck and killed on the highway early Friday morning.
Police said at about 1 a.m. Friday, officers were called to reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a semi-truck on Highway 43 east of Grande Prairie, near Range Road 53.
Traffic was diverted for several hours as police investigated – it was reopened to traffic just before 7 a.m.
The pedestrian died, police only identified the deceased as a female – no other information was released.
