RCMP have asked for the public’s assistance as they try to locate a suspect in a robbery of a Fort McMurray pharmacy.

Officials said the man entered the Shopper’s Drug Mart on Franklin Avenue around 9:15 p.m. Saturday.

The suspect approached an employee at the register and requested all of the cash. The suspect also allegedly threatened the worker with a weapon.

The employee gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash and lottery scratch tickets.

The suspect left the store and ran on foot towards Manning Avenue.

Police have described the suspect as:

  • Caucasian male about 30 years old
  • Brown hair
  • About 5’9-6’0 with a medium build
  • Wearing a red t-shirt and jeans
  • Tattoos on both biceps.
