A 22-year-old Red Deer man has been arrested on multiple charges for allegedly ramming two police cars in a stolen truck.

Police said two officers approached an identified stolen Ford F-350 truck on February 2 at 4 p.m. When they approached the vehicle on foot, the driver allegedly accelerated toward the officers and narrowly missed them.

The truck then allegedly drove over two tire deflation devices before slamming into two police vehicles.

The driver left the scene driving on two flat tires and police said he refused to stop.

RCMP said he also collided with two civilian vehicles. They did not pursue or chase the driver for safety reasons.

No one was injured.

Jared Michael McLeod faces eleven charges including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and assault on a police officer with a weapon.

He will appear in Alberta Provincial Court in Red Deer on February 11.
