Edmonton police are asking for the public’s help in determining what happened, before a man was found dead on a roadway over the weekend.

On Saturday, September 13 at about 1:45 a.m., officers were called to the area near Fort Edmonton Park on Fox Drive, after a driver reported coming across the body of a deceased male.

Police said on Tuesday that the Medical Examiner had completed an autopsy on the male, and said the 19-year-old man had suffered injuries consistent with a traffic collision.

On Saturday, witnesses had told officers that a number of vehicles had driven by what appeared to be an object in the middle of the road, before a vehicle reportedly struck it, dragging it a short distance.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Edmonton Police Service non-emergency line at 780-423-4567 or #377 on a mobile phone.

Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
