A man suspected to have tried to kidnap a woman over the weekend, before fleeing from police has been arrested by police in Calgary.

Edmonton police said Kemol Delano Creary, 25, was arrested Thursday in Calgary.

It’s believed that Creary drove a stolen vehicle to Calgary Wednesday; police said he went to a woman’s home in that city, and demanded she get in touch with the woman Creary had allegedly tried to kidnap on Sunday.

The second woman reportedly tried to arrange a meeting with the first woman, but she turned down the offer.

Finally, on Thursday, police said the second woman called the other again, and told her Creary was armed and was trying to track her down – she then went to police to report the incident.

Creary was arrested by Calgary police at a bus stop in the area of Centre Street and Blackthorn Road NW Thursday at about 2:30 p.m.

Now, he’s facing charges of possession over $5,000, uttering threats, forcible confinement with a firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm, possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm with ammunition from Calgary Police.

Earlier this week, Edmonton Police issued arrest warrants for Creary for charges of criminal hit and run, kidnapping, assault, dangerous driving, two counts of driving while suspended, criminal flight, two counts of breach of an emergency protection order, possession of stolen property over $5,000, theft over $5,000 and four counts of breach of recognizance.
