A Thorsby man charged with sex offences against four young boys is expected to be sentenced Monday.

Sean Hudson faces 20 charges including five counts each of sexual assault, breach of conditions and child luring, four counts of sexual interference and a charge of invitation to sexual touching.

The charges stem from a number of offences allegedly committed against four male victims, in four separate cases. Officials said all of the victims were under the age of 14.

Police believe the offences started in November 2009.

Hudson was first arrested and charged by RCMP in Thorsby in June, 2013.

ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit became involved in May 2014 when two more victims were identified.

Investigators said they believe the accused befriended family members in an effort to gain access to the children.

A summary disposition and sentencing has been scheduled for Monday in Edmonton’s provincial court.
