A 22-year-old man from Edmonton was allegedly caught driving 197 km/h on the QEII near Innisfail early Sunday morning.
Around 2:00 a.m., an RCMP officer recorded a black BMW travelling 87 km/h over the 110 km/h speed limit.
The driver has been charged with speeding, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and operating a vehicle with an improperly issued licence plate.
He’s scheduled to appear in a Red Deer courtroom on December 21, 2015.
