FC Edmonton head coach Colin Miller has had his contract extended with the soccer club.

Miller has been head coach of the team for four years, and is credited with helping to improve the team’s record.

In 2016 FC Edmonton qualified for the NASL postseason for the first time since 2013. The Eddies finished the 2016 regular season with a league-best 21 goals against in 32 games.

FC Edmonton co-owner Tom Fath said in a news release: “Our club is well-respected throughout the NASL and Colin and his team are a major reason for that. We look forward to Colin’s continued work with our club and are positive that the best is yet to come.”

“I’m clearly thrilled to bits with the contract extension,” Miller said in a statement.

“I’m very proud to be the head coach of FC Edmonton, I think this is a real compliment to the work that myself and our staff have done.”

FC Edmonton did not release terms of Miller’s deal.
