RCMP and Occupational Health and Safety are investigating, after a worker was found dead at a water treatment facility in Fort McMurray.
RCMP said officers were called to help paramedics at the facility, located on Silin Forest Road, near Highway 63, just before 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
The plant is under construction, and EMS was called after a missing worker was found submerged in one of the buildings.
The 32-year-old Sherwood Park man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police and OHS are investigating, although foul play is not suspected.
The exact cause of death is not known, but police said they suspect drowning.
