The Edmonton Police Service is investigating a report of an armed robbery at a convenience store in northeast Edmonton.

Police say two masked males with firearms allegedly entered a convenience store just after midnight in the area of 40th Street and Hermitage Road.

An employee was allegedly assaulted and suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say a third female suspect was also involved in the incident. The suspects allegedly fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and other store products.

One of the male suspects is described as an Aboriginal or Caucasian male with a slim build and about six feet tall (183 cm). He was wearing a black jacket, blue pants, white runners and a black mask.

The other male suspect is described as an Aboriginal or Caucasian male with an average build and between 5'8" and 5'10" (172.5-177.5 cm). He was wearing a black jacket with a grey hoody, grey sweat pants and a black mask.

The female suspect is described as short and stocky and was wearing a hoody.
