Edmonton police are investigating after officers were called to a north west Edmonton home Thursday night.

A police spokesperson told CTV News that officers were called to the home in the area of 119 Avenue and 90 Street just after 9 p.m. Thursday, April 30.

Officers were called by paramedics over reports of an injured male. The 64-year-old was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead.

On Friday morning, police said the case was being handled as a suspicious death.

An autopsy was scheduled for Friday afternoon.
